Cynicism and doubt melt away under the unyielding force of their truth - that Big Love is real. Nestled in the hills of Santa Barbara, Kenny and Julia have created a refuge of Big Love. Their almost ten years of marriage, which includes raising five children (three from Kenny's previous marriage and two together), is sustained by love and compassion; mined from a bedrock of truth. As a couple and as individuals, they are dedicated to unearthing and living their own truths. Yet their path to one another wasn't straightforward. When Julia and Kenny first met, they were two people enmeshed in their own denial and discontent. Despite Kenny's successful career as a singer/songwriter - first as a duo with Jim Messina and later as a solo artist with monster hits like "Footloose" and "This Is It" - he still felt like the geeky kid of his youth, with fears and insecurities locked behind a cool "rock star" persona.
